DTC Troubleshooting: B1029

DTC B1029:
 Alarm Control Siren Lost Communication with MICU
  1. Check the No. 7 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.
Is the fuse OK?
YES -
Go to Step 2 .
NO -
Replace the fuse and recheck for DTCs.■
  1. Check for continuity between the alarm control siren No. 4 terminal and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to Step 3 .
NO -
Repair a short in the BLK wire.■

  1. Check for continuity between the alarm control siren No. 1 terminal and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to Step 4 .
NO -
Repair a short in the WHT/RED wire.■

  1. Check for continuity between the alarm control siren No. 2 terminal and under-dash fuse/relay box Q8 terminal.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Faulty alarm control siren or MICU; Replace the alarm control siren or MICU .■
NO -
Repair an open in the YEL wire between the alarm control siren and MICU.■
