Crankshaft Pulley Removal and Installation

Handle (  07JAB-001020B)
 

Pulley holder attachment, HEX 50 mm (  07JAB-0010400)
 
Socket wrench, 19 mm (  07JAA-001020A)
 


Removal


1.Remove the right front wheel.

2.Remove the splash shield.

3.Support the engine with a jack and wood block under the oil pan.

4.Remove the side engine mount bracket bolt/nuts.

 

5.Lower the engine about 50 mm (2.0 in.).

6.Hold the pulley with handle (A) and holder attachment (B).

 

7.Remove the bolt with a 19 mm socket (C) and breaker bar.

Installation


1.Clean the crankshaft pulley (A), crankshaft (B), bolt (C) and washer (D). Lubricate the new engine oil as shown.

 

2.Install the crankshaft pulley, and hold the pulley with handle (A) and holder attachment (B).

 

3.Tighten the bolt to 29 N·m (3.0 kgf·m, 22 lbf·ft) with a torque wrench and 19 mm socket (C). Do not use an impact wrench. If you are using a new pulley bolt or new crankshaft, tighten the bolt to 34 N·m (3.5 kgf·m, 25 lbf·ft).

4.Tighten the pulley bolt an additional 90 °.

5.Tighten the side engine mount bracket bolt/nuts.

 

6.Remove a jack.

7.Install the splash shield.

8.Install the right front wheel.
