DTC Troubleshooting: 4

DTC 4:  A Short in the Outside Air Temperature Sensor Circuit

1.Remove the outside air temperature sensor.

2.Test the outside air temperature sensor.

Is the outside air temperature sensor OK?


YES - Go to 3.


NO - Replace the  outside air temperature sensor.n


3.Disconnect the heater control panel 36P connector.

4.Check for continuity between the No. 7 terminal of the heater control panel 36P connector and body ground.

 

Is there continuity?


YES - Repair short to body ground in the wire between the heater control panel and the outside air temperature sensor.n


NO - Substitute a known-good heater control panel, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original heater control panel.n
