Front Seat Removal/InstallationFor some models: SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, and the precautions and procedures in the SRS section before performing repairs or service.
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
- Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
|1.||If equipped, make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio, then write down the frequencies for the preset buttons.|
|2.||If equipped with a side airbag, disconnect the negative battery cable, and wait at least 3 minutes before beginning work.|
|3.||Remove the front inner seat track end cover (A) and front outer seat track end cover (B) from the front of both seat tracks.|
|4.||Remove the rear outer seat track end cover (A) and rear inner seat track end cover (B) from the back of both seat tracks.|
|5.||Remove the bolts securing the front seat (A).|
|6.||For some models: Lift up the front seat, then detach the harness clips (A), and disconnect the seat belt switch connector (B) on the driver's seat, and the side airbag connector (C) on the driver's and passenger's seat. LHD driver's seat is shown, RHD is symmetrical.|
|7.||With the help of an assistant, carefully remove the front seat through the front door opening.|
|8.||Install the seat in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:|
