Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
The LKAS uses the multipurpose camera to read the lane lines on both sides of the road. The multipurpose camera unit draws an
imaginary line at the center between both lane lines, and lane keeping assist control is performed by assisting the steering so that the
vehicle is guided along this imaginary line near the center of the lane.
The system gets suspended when the system determines that the driver is not holding the steering wheel for a certain period of time
while LKAS is in operation
.
LKAS Inoperative Road Conditions
LKAS does not operate in the following road conditions (LKAS is inoperative while LDW continues to operate).
