Turn engine OFF and remove the L & S terminal connector (Item 1) [Figure 60-30-4] off the alternator.
Turn the remote start tool key to the ON position.
Check the voltage across the โLโ terminal (Item 1) and a good ground source (Item 2) [Figure 60-30-5]. The voltage should be what the battery voltage is. If not, check wire harness, relay and fuses. If the wire harness, relay and fuses are ok then remove alternator for replacement or repair. To repair, (See Alternator Voltage Testing on Page 60-30-3.) for further component testing.
